On WEDNESDAY, March 15, 2017, starting at 7:00 pm, at Town Offices, 35 Marble St. W. Rutland Village; the DRB will convene a Public Hearing to review the following application:
Application 17- 01; STEWART’s SHOPS CORP, for Store #198, located at 234 Main St. (US Rt. 4a). Request to add 10’ X 72’ retail/storage area to the rear (north), and a 4’ X 16’ exterior freezer unit to the left (west) side of existing Store. The existing storage shed to be relocated.
Interested Parties (or their designated Agents) are to be present to offer Testimony, or have submitted written Testimony, by 7:15 pm on day of the Hearings; or may forfeit their right to appeal any decision of the DRB in VT Environmental Court. There will be Rabies Clinic on Saturday March 18th, 2017 at the West Rutland Town Garage at 265 Ross Street from 10 am to noon. The charge is $7 per animal. Dr. Carini will be administering the rabies vaccine.
The Town Clerk Will also be available to license your dog.
Fees: $14 spayed or neutered, $18 non-spayed or neutered.
All dogs must be licensed by April 1st

WINTER PARKING BAN
To aid in snow removal, beginning December 1st. until March 31st it is illegal to park on the street between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense. Thank you for your cooperation.
STAKES/PLOWING ACROSS THE ROAD NOT PERMITTED
Placing stakes or reflectors on your lawn along the edge of the road pavement are not permitted. The snowplow drivers need the room to remove the snow. Nothing can be placed in the right of way without Town Permission. It is also illegal to plow snow across the road. Please be sure to keep the sidewalks cleared after they are plowed.
If you have a hydrant on or near your property, we would appreciate any assistance with snow removal.
The annual Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 6:45 pm at the Town Hall. Join us as we welcome Santa & Mrs. Claus for an evening of fun. Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the Town Hall tree and there will be caroling and hay wagon rides for all who attend. Please bring a plate of cookies to share. This event is brought to you by the Friends of the Town Hall and their generous contributors.
