An informational Meeting for new proposed school budget will be held at 7 pm in the Town Hall Auditorium. The vote on the new budget will be on Tuesday, May 2 from 10 am – 7 pm.

The West Rutland Historical Society is proud to sponsor a presentation by Tom Giffin entitled “The Westside of Old Rutland”. Tom is from the Vermont Old Cemetery Association and will discuss the work being done by volunteer groups to preserve and restore some of Rutland County’s oldest cemeteries. There will be a revote on the West Rutland School budget on Tuesday, March 28th. Polls will be open at the Town Hall Auditorium from 10 am to 7 pm

There will be a school budget recount at 12:30 pm on Monday, March 13th at 12:30 pm in the Conference room.
The annual West Rutland Town Wide Yard Sale will be held Saturday, May 13. 2017.

10’X10′ spaces may be rented on the Town Hall green for $20. Register your sale with the town to have your home listed on our map. There is no cost to register your own garage/yard sale. Call 438-2263 to register.
Registration for West Rutland Summer Baseball and Softball is open for grades Pre-K to grade 6. Registrations will be accepted until March 31, 2017.
Minors Softball and Baseball, grades 3 & 4: $35

On WEDNESDAY, March 15, 2017, starting at 7:00 pm, at Town Offices, 35 Marble St. W. Rutland Village; the DRB will convene a Public Hearing to review the following application:
Application 17- 01; STEWART’s SHOPS CORP, for Store #198, located at 234 Main St. (US Rt. 4a). Request to add 10’ X 72’ retail/storage area to the rear (north), and a 4’ X 16’ exterior freezer unit to the left (west) side of existing Store. The existing storage shed to be relocated.
Interested Parties (or their designated Agents) are to be present to offer Testimony, or have submitted written Testimony, by 7:15 pm on day of the Hearings; or may forfeit their right to appeal any decision of the DRB in VT Environmental Court.
